Grain Guardian

The Grain Guardians was inspired from the summer walks that I made as a little girl with my grandfather down the railroad tracks to the grain elevators. He lived in a tiny hamlet in Saskatchewan and he would tell me stories mostly imaginary ones but there was one that stuck in my head about the owl that we saw sitting on the power line pole. He pointed him out and said that owl was old and wise and was watching and protecting the grain in the elevators. Truth be told that old owl was there because he knew that there was a steady supply of mice for supper!!!
