Commission types
Disney™ painting commissions
To begin the process of commissioning a Disney™ piece, we'll need to discuss your budget. Once we are able to determine that, we will work on the size of the piece. Then comes the fun part! We will chat about what character or story you would like the piece to be based around. Please note that Disney™ only allows the characters to stay within their own world. For example, Sleeping Beauty can't go visit Cinderella and see her at the castle. However, Mickey, Minnie, and the rest of the fabulous five are allowed into many themes and locations. They could be having a lemonade in Italy or hiking in the Rockies.
Once the decisions are made about the character, size, and budget, a 50% deposit is required to start a concept sketch. This is a non-refundable deposit. After the brief contract is signed and the deposit is received, Denyse will begin to work on your sketch and go over it with you before sending it off to Disney™ for final approval. When they give the go ahead, Denyse will start on the piece itself!
Once finished, it will be reviewed one more time by Disney™ for approval and any final changes. Once approved, it will then be submitted for distribution approval at which point it will be ready for delivery to you. At this point the remainder of the balance is due and you have yourself a one-of-a-kind Disney Fine Art™ original!
Copyright remains with Denyse, Disney Fine Art™ and Disney™. Reproductions of the original are up to the discretion of Disney Fine Art™. Shipping and taxes will be added to the final balance.
Twinkle Stars Commissions
To begin the process of commissioning a piece in the Twinkle Stars collection, we'll need to discuss your budget. Once we are able to determine that, we will work on the size of the piece and whether we incorporate sculpting of the characters or premium European crystals in the stars. Tall, vertical pieces look best for this series.
Once a budget is decided we will work on the characters in the scene and where it is located. Two dogs on the beach? No problem. A couple at a dock? Great! Denyse will then get to work creating your one-of-a-kind Twinkle Stars piece. A 50% non-refundable deposit is due before work can begin. Once finished, the remainder of the balance is due and your painting will be on its way!
Copyright of pieces remains with Denyse. Shipping and taxes will be added to the final balance.
All Other Commissions
To begin the process of commissioning a piece in the Beach Days, Colour Pop, Fur, Fins, & Feathers, or Princess and the Pea collections, we'll need to discuss your budget. Once we are able to determine that, we will work on the size of the piece and find a fit for your budget.
Once a budget is decided we will work together on the setting, basic colours, characters, and other little tidbits that make the piece unique to you! Denyse can incorporate certain details that represent people or pets you'd like in the painting, but note that they will be an interpretation and not a likeness or portrait.
From there, Denyse will decide whether a sketch of the piece is needed. At this time the 50% deposit is due. Once paid, your Original will be placed in the queue. Once finished, you will be shown the painting for approval and may make minor changes. You'll then pay the remainder of the balance owing and your new Original will be delivered!
Copyright of pieces remains with Denyse. Shipping and taxes will be added to the final balance. Commissions are not available for The Composer's series.
